CERTIFICATIONS

Dawson Construction and/or our staff have attained the following certifications:

 

  • ASHE Healthcare Construction Certification - Three of our project managers and one of our project supervisors have attained certification by the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) for completing a level of healthcare construction experience along with a commitment and desire to improve their awareness, knowledge and understanding of the healthcare construction and thereby improve the quality of patient care.
  • Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead (CESCL) - Fourteen of our field and office staff are Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Leads.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) - Our Safety Manager, Brian Murphy, is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP). This title or designation is awarded by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) to individuals who: (1) Meet the standards for a safety professional established by BCSP; and (2) Continue to meet annual renewal and recertification requirements.
  • EPA Certified Lead Renovator - Four of our field and office staff are trained as EPA certified lead renovators; these individuals are qualified to supervise projects involving renovation, repair, or painting in residential or child-occupied facilities in which lead paint exits.
  • GC/CM Certification - Pete Dawson, President, and Len Andrews, Operations and Quality Control Manager, and two of our project managers have received GC/CM certification with the Associated General Contractors of Washington Education Foundation.
  • Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Certified - Dawson Construction has fulfilled the requirement of the Toxic Substance Control Act Section 402 and is certified to conduct lead based pain renovation, repair, and painting activities.
  • LEED Accredited Professionals - We are experienced with the requirements, resources and processes of LEED construction.We have 3 LEED Accredited Professionals in our firm, and we have delivered, or are in the process of delivering, ten LEED projects.
  • OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety & Health Training - Fifteen of our field and office staff have completed the US Dept of Labor - Occupational Safety and Health Administration's 30-hour Construction Safety & Health Training for supervisors.
  • OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety & Health Training - Nearly all hands have completed the US Dept of Labor - Occupational Safety and Health Administration's 10-hour Construction Safety & Health Training.
  • Traffic Control Technician & Traffic Control Supervisor - The purpose of this designation is to certify personnel involved in the layout, inspection and design of traffic control plans. Certification has proven to be an effective tool for improving the safety and mobility of traffic through a construction project by verifying that those who monitor, inspect, and control traffic control operations possess essential knowledge and skills.
  • TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) - We have 24 employees withTWIC certification. This credential is a vital security measure ensuring that individuals who pose a threat do not gain unescorted access to secure areas of the nation's maritime transportation system. To obtain a TWIC, an individual must provide biographic and biometric information such as fingerprints, sit for a digital photograph and successfully pass a security threat assessment conducted by TSA.
