Pre-Construction Services

Our pre-construction services help the owners we work with establish and then achieve their project goals for quality, schedule and budget. We utilize the following tools: conceptual cost estimating, constructability reviews, value engineering, subcontractor packaging and procurement, safety reviews and in-house CPM scheduling.

LEED

LEED emphasizes state-of-the-art strategies for sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality. Three of our project managers have attained LEED Accredited Professional Status, and their services are available on any of our projects. Current and previous Dawson Construction projects which have applied for LEED status include: (1) Western Washington University - Wade King Student Recreation Center (Certified), (2) Port Townsend’s City Hall Improvements and Annex Addition (Silver), and (3) North Cascades Environmental Learning Center (Silver), Denali Eielson Visitor Center (Platinum), and Western Washington University - Academic Instructional Center (Certified).

Self Performing Capabilities

We have the capability to self-perform multiple phases of work including select site work, concrete work, concrete tilt-up, structural steel erection, rough and finish carpentry, and select finishes. These capabilities allow us to do what is in the best interest of the project, whether that be to sub out certain phases or work, or self-perform.
