FIRM PARTNERS/STAFF

In addition to our administrative staff, we have 11 project estimator/managers, with an average tenure with Dawson of well over 10 years. We are structured such that the same project estimator/manager that estimates a project also manages the project. We have 20+ project supervisors and project foremen with an average tenure with Dawson of over 10 years.

 

Peter C. Dawson, President Pete was born in Bellingham, Washington and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Engineering from Montana State Univeristy. Pete represents the 2nd generation in this family business; he succeeds his father and company founder, J.R. Dawson.

J.R. Dawson, Vice President J.R. Dawson is our company founder; he established Dawson Construction as a fair, professional and competitive contractor. His first Alaska project was the 1964 Schoenbar School (completed as Dawson/Strengholt). J.R. has a civil engineering degree from the University of Washington. He lives in Ketchikan, Alaska when he isn't cruising the waters of British Columbia and Southeast Alaska.

Michael K. Bayless, Secretary/Treasurer Mike was born in Corvallis, Oregon and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Pepperdine University. Mike joined Dawson Construction as Controller in 2005. Mike's responsibilities at Dawson Construction include insurance and bond management, accounting, and risk management.
